art.homes: an exchange program of Munich-Istanbul artists
art.homes is an art project which – under the motto of friendship – aims at promoting young artists from Munich and Istanbul. Ten artists from Munich and ten from Istanbul will meet and be paired up to share and make use of 10 apartments in Istanbul (2010) and in Munich (2011).

Allianz Alumni Academy 2010
At this year's Allianz Alumni Academy in Madrid young qualified Europeans from 17 countries as well as political and economic experts from the EU came together to discuss the future of Europe. The Academy is an initiative of the Allianz Cultural Foundation.

Curatorial Workshop 2010 on the occasion of the 6th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art
Based on the success of the curatorial workshops held in relation to the 4th and 5th Berlin Biennale, KW Institute for Contemporary Art supported by the Goethe-Institut Munich, the Allianz Cultural Foundation, and BMW take the 6th Berlin Biennale as an occasion to once again strengthen the initiative of young curators by organizing a workshop for 10-12 young, international aspirants of this field.

'Debate on Europe 2009' in Berlin
On January 25, 2009 opened the annually initiated lecture series 'Debate on Europe' with a round table of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Karel Schwarzenberg and the French State Secretary for Europe, Bruno Le Maire. At the National Opera House they stated their position referring to the question 'The World at a Crossroads – What is the Position of Europe?'. The discussion series will offer four more panels with diversified topics from February 1, up till April 5, 2009 at the National Opera House and The Allianz Foundation Forum Pariser Platz in Berlin.

What will the future of our political thinking look like? This was the underlying question of the event named "Woodstock of Political Thinking" on November 20-22, 2009.

TASWIR: A workshop series on a portable illustrated guide
The exhibition "TASWIR" deals with the crossfire of traditional Islamic art in the context of modern artistic positions and takes place from the 4th of November 2009 till the 18th of January 2010 in the Martin-Gropius-Bau Berlin. It will be accompanied by a series of workshops concerning und extending the topic of the exhibition. The results will be shown in a portable online guide.
