The Allianz Stiftungsforum Pariser Platz provides an ecumenical and nonpartisan forum for handling the fundamental social and cultural issues facing us today. The aim of the forum’s events is to actively contribute to public discourse in Germany and Europe, and introduce outstanding artistic positions. The forum will not only be used for Allianz Group’s events and its foundations, but will also be at the disposal of the foundations’ project partners.

Today Berlin is a cultural metropolis and a location for internationally-recognized academic achievement. A clear indication of this is the fact that, in recent years, this fascinating city has witnessed an influx of artists and creative individuals greater than anywhere else in Europe. This public should be attracted to and included in the events to the same degree as German and foreign experts, and decision-makers from the worlds of politics, economy, academics, environmental concerns and culture.

Here, in the near future, the Allianz Umweltstiftung will confer its newly established Climate Award, and the Allianz Kulturstiftung will continue its "Talks On Europe" series. The Kulturstiftung Dresden der Dresdner Bank will plan events in collaboration with Dresden’s State Art Collections, and the Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung hopes to offer its sponsored authors and prize-winning artists new presentation opportunities in Berlin.

Intensifying the focus on Europe’s enormous potential in the areas of education and culture is the central theme of the Allianz Kulturstiftung. With this in mind, and since its founding in 2000, the foundation encourages the professionalization of next-generation academicians and artists in the spirit of European integration. To equal degrees, young authors and artists, as well as students of European studies, make up the target groups of the foundation’s programs, intended to promote a sustained exchange of knowledge of one another and inspire cooperative endeavors.

"Taking part in an existence worth living in a secure future." The Allianz Umweltstiftung has clearly anchored this maxim for the protection, maintenance and development of nature and the environment in its statutes. In 1990, the firm of Allianz AG founded the environmental foundation on the occasion of its 100th anniversary and, in doing so, assumed social responsibility in this area. The work of the Allianz Umweltstiftung is engaged in nationwide, multifaceted, and, on principle, its project support puts human beings first. By no means focussed solely on the preservation of nature and cultural heritage, the foundation is equally committed to new impulses and supporting forward-looking syntheses, which draw from history, tradition and modernity.

The commitment of employees and companies of the Allianz Group in cases of catastrophes is the aim of Allianz Direct Help.

Established in 2002, the Allianz Foundation for North America joined an international network of Allianz Group foundations working to apply this shared concern for safeguarding the future to challenges faced by society at large. This network includes, for example, the Allianz Foundation for Sustainability, dedicated to responsible environmental management, and the Allianz Cultural Foundation, which, through the arts, works to promote intercultural dialogue and cooperation among young people in Europe.
