An interdisciplinary project by artists, architects, and students on the topics of city planning and public space in Istanbul’s peripheries. An initiative of the Allianz Cultural Foundation in cooperation with the Platform Garanti & Garanti Gallery (Istanbul), the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts (Istanbul), and the Städelschule (Frankfurt).

By invitation of the renowned International Istanbul Biennial, “grenzgeografien” will open up to discussion the findings of its study in the form of an exhibition-installation.

The project, with participants from Germany and other European countries, addresses newly a variety of the population outside established institutions and will be entrusted in Romanian's care in 2008.

Within a workshop they will exchange experiences in artistic practice and become visible through individual and collective activities. Besides the workshops, lectures from the fields of Art, Architecture and Philosophy will frame a sort of evening activities.
