Public Art Bucharest
On the 1st of January 2007 Romania became a member of the European Union. "Public Art Bucharest" is a transdisciplinary project to initiate an artistic enlivement of urban spaces and a debate on democracy in Europe.

The project, with participants from Germany and other European countries, addresses newly a variety of the population outside established institutions and will be entrusted in Romanian's care in 2008.
Architecture and urban development, performance and theater, education and youth culture are all incorporated in the art projects with the aim of mobilizing wide sections of the public across all disciplines and embedding them in an overarching process. Additionally to the art projects taking place at different venues, a public event and project space is planned where the culturally interested public, individuals from the subculture scene and casual passers-by can get together.
