"Focus on Europe" - education and culture in social transformation processes
Schools are an important place to fill the idea of Europe with concrete content and to promote awareness about the commonalities as well as seeing the diversity. With this in mind, the Foundation of German Business (sdw), held a four-day European seminar from November 16-19, 2011 with student teachers from Germany and Romania in Cluj-Napoca.

How can art critically think about Europe and its community spirit? What difference could a Europe community make, seen from an artistic point of view? Ten curators develop multiple scenarios and visualize how one might think about Europe, to initiate a next step in the implementation of a common, but multifaceted project in the participating countries.

Transeuropa - London Festival of Europe
Starting April 25th lasting until May 10th , London, Paris, Bologna, and Cluj - Napoca joined forces to create the Transeuropa Festival, Europe’s first truly transitional and innovative festival that combines culture, art, and politics happening simultaneously in these four cities. Welcoming thinkers, artists, politicians, curators, activists, and citizens from around the globe, it formed a cutting edge- programme.

The Center for Applied Policy Research (C·A·P) has launched a web dossier dealing with the elections on the European Parliament in 2009. The goal of the project is to point out the importance of the elections regarding legitimacy and democracy in the EU and to enhance civic participation at the European level.
