There will be a new Allianz Alumni Academy in 2010!

The aim of the Allianz Alumni Academy is to create an international forum where young people are able to develop pioneering ideas and scenarios in a changing Europe. It also serves to integrate the new generation of academics in the European debate. The adoption of a joint "Manifesto" reflecting the results of the conference concludes each Summer Academy.

The Allianz Summer Academy is an operational initiative of the Allianz Kulturstiftung that has been held since 2004 and contains different topics. In the first year the students dealt with their options for professional and personal orientation in a steadily changing Europe. In 2005 they analysed the democratic status quo and the deficits within the European Union in various task groups. Last year the position and the role of Europe in a globalized world took centre stage.
In 2007 the Allianz Summer Academy will was continued from May 4 - 6 in Brussels in terms of an Allianz Alumni Academy. Various speeches and panels, for example with Commissioner Günter Verheugen, Jo Leinen, German MEP, lobbyists of EADS, Daimler Chrysler and Allianz SE and other international guests led to interesting discussions about the current status quo of the EU, the future of the constitutional treaty and a common foreign and security policy. Furthermore the results of the ASA evaluation process were analysed.
Project framework: May 4 - 6, 2007
