Since 2000, the Georg-Eckert Institute for International School Book Research (GEI) has been managing a project for coordinating school book reform within the scope of the stability pact for South-eastern Europe, with the focus on history, geography and social studies.

Mobile.culture.container consists of 16 containers which tour the countries of former Yugoslavia and which since 2001 have already visited more than ten towns for three to five weeks respectively like a mobile high school.

The competition addresses school classes from the 10th year upwards. The aim is to work out scenarios about life in Europe in the year 2020.
