Elisabeth Young-Bruehlová
The Fund for Central and East European Book Projects (CEEBP) was initiated in 1992 under the auspices of the European Cultural Foundation (http://www.eurocult.org). The objective has been to been to promote the unrestricted exchange of literature and information across borders between east and west European countries, by supporting appropriate and contextually exceptional publications throughout central east Europe.
Bearing in mind the difficult situation in publishing and the book trade in post-communist countries, this project provides the structural basis for a permanent, intellectual and academic exchange between east and west Europe.

Every year, the Allianz Kulturstiftung provides sponsorship for the translation of ten works from the field of literature or the arts which are put forward by Dr. Rakusa, who is member of the Board of Trustees. The resultant publication of these works closely involves central and east European publishers and bookshops in this project.
An initiative of the Allianz Kulturstiftung in cooperation with the Fund for Central and East European Book Projects (CEEBP), Amsterdam.
Duration of project: 2005 - 2008, Place: Amsterdam, Munich
