"CampLand": International coproduction with Eastern Europe within the framework of the 5th European theater and performance festival "transeuropa"

transeuropa 2006, the European festival for theatre and performance is taking its own course - the program beyond the guest performances includes the development of international co-productions within the scope of CampLand and adding depth to the reflection about current discussions concerning aesthetics, cultural policy and society. CampLand is a temporary basecamp for young European artists to meet and interchange. To promote interchange and synergy effects between the artists, there will be a set working subject, meetings at the round tables and common presentation.

k.o.- Roland Barthes' Lover's Discourse
This form of international co-production makes it possible to experience the productions drawn up for Hildesheim as they are progressing. We will be looking over the artist's shoulders, observing and accompanying them from the inception to the initial performance. transeuropa 2006 has invited ten artists from the member countries to establish their camp in Hildesheim from the beginning of June, including FAR A DAY CAGE from Switzerland, O.P.A. ART GROUP from Macedonia and TILMANN MEYER-FAJE, a German artist living in Amsterdam. Common among them is the occupation with social topographies. On the frontier between theatre and installation, they are designing and examining collective spaces.
