The Prague Theater Festival in the German language began in 1996 under the name "Deutsches Theater Prag" in order to revive the tradition of international coexistence and the mutual enrichment of the Czech, German and Jewish culture in the Czech capital which had been violently interrupted.

The eleventh euro-scene Leipzig was held from 6th-11th November, 2001. Under the motto "Body checks" 16 productions - in 30 performances at ten locations took a look at the human body - with its virtuosity, its suffering, its vulnerability and its strength.
