UNITHEA 2003 - Europe on Stage: 6th European Theater Festival in Frankfurt/Oder
For the sixth time, Frankfurt on the Oder near the German-Polish border, as a city between east and west, will be the stage for all of Europe. The European theater festival UNITHEA presents young professional groups from France, Spain, Ireland, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland and Russia.

UNITHEA offers theater from seven countries
The performers will show theater that is rich in imagery and action, proving that European variety is not in need of translations in order to be understood by everyone. In cooperation with the city's Kleist Forum, students of the local university's department of cultural studies are organizing the well-known theater festival. This year, the Allianz Kulturstiftung is supporting the festival for the third time. UNITHEA is more than just "theater". An exiting setting that brings artists and the audience into immediate contact, has been created with the help of workshops, concerts, discussions, culinary and cinematic excursions to the countries of the performing groups. This way, there are ample opportunities for a lively exchange about the performances and for a look into other worlds and lifestyles. From May 11 to 15, 2003, UNITHEA invites an audience of (almost) all ages to a daily program of two performances. These will take place in the Kleist Forum and on different stages in the city, both inside and in the open air. UNITHEA raises the curtain to cultural discoveries for visitors from Western and Eastern Europe.
