Residency Exchange Program (REX)
The REX Project supplements studio residencies for artists with a phase of intercultural exchange and public presentation. A collaborative initiative of the art centers WIELS in Brussels, HALLE 14 in Leipzig, and MAUMAUS in Lisbon, in association with the Allianz Cultural Foundation.

International Curators’ Workshop at the 5th berlin biennial
The workshop from April 2nd till April 10th, 2008 offered young curators cross-border opinion and experience exchange, and the possibility to arrange actively the social program of the bb5. 14 curators from 14 countries participated.

German-Polish Photo Workshop 2007
The touring exhibition entitled "The city - shades of alienation" presented works by German photographers Andreas Rost and Ulrich Wüst in the Polish cities of Wrocław, Posen and Lodz.

Roma Pavilion / 52nd Venice Biennale 2007
"Paradise Lost" was the first contemporary show representing an international selection of Roma contemporary artists. The exhibition showcased the visual art talents of the largest European ethnic minority.

Women in Europe
Cologne artist Bettina Flitner travelled through Europe for three years with her camera. Her aim was to build a portfolio with portrait photographs of outstanding European women from the areas of politics, culture, academia and business.

Youth in the Country - International photo project
"Youth in the Country" was an international photo project involving photography students from eight European countries working together. Photography schools from Bulgaria, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Austria, Poland, Romania and Hungary have been forming a network to originate the year-long project.

The municipal art gallery Bunkier Sztuki in Cracow was staging a series of exhibitions, installations and workshops. The aim was to generate a debate on transculturality, identity and migration, and the opportunities offered by art.
