The Allianz Kulturstiftung has joined forces with the BMW Group and the Goethe Forum to initiate the Workshop "Fast Forward" for young international curators at the 4th Berlin Biennale for contemporary art. Seminars and workshops held at the Berlin Goethe Institute between 22 and 28 March discussed and analyzed conceptional and organizational processes for staging international exhibitions. The intention was also to give young curators a platform to present their own projects. The young curators had the opportunity to structure and moderate the organized Artists' Talks of "bb4". Some 15 participants (including curators from China, Iran, Romania, Norway, England, India, France and Turkey) had the opportunity to get to know important personalities from their field and the international art world, such as Hans-Ulrich Obrist, Okwui Enwezor, Saskia Bos and Niklas Maak, and ask them about their work. The international new generation of curators were selected by the Berlin Biennale and the Goethe-Forum on the basis of a joint competition. The International Curators' Workshop was coordinated by Nataša Petrešin-Bachelez.

The continuation of this International Curators' Workshop is planned for the next Moscow Biennale in February 2007.
